AGN Community Radio Station

AGN CRS was formally inaugurated on Thai Pongal day, 2012. Later, with the approval of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, the station began to air its regular community service programs from February 17, 2014, under the banner Aahanal Vaanoli. The encouragement and guidance of Tr. S. Sabarinathan, former Director of Doordharshan Radio Station, Coimbatore, and a student-project done at our Gunasundari-Chellappan Young Scientists Club were instrumental in the creation of this community radio station. Establishment of a community radio station at school level for the first time in India is a rare distinction. Major funding for the infrastructure set-up was provided by our esteemed patrons Bagyam-Kasi GoundanMallika-Mani RajendranGunasundari-ChellappanLinda-Mason Byles and Saraswathi-Ayee Goundan.

AGN CRS broadcasts programs daily on varied topics such as education, culture, health & hygiene, environment, agriculture, arts and literature for the benefit and betterment of our community. We welcome your suggestions and participation in content development.
